Why didn't you turn right (south) in Kitzbuhel, and go through Mitterrsill directly to Matrei? [Update:] I think I got my answer at 1:05:45. More of my answer at 1:15:45 in Kaprun. Beautiful drive in a very nice region, the castle is definetely worth seeing. Drove here once on the D1 motorway, but you took some nice secondary roads, making a deep dive into the beauty of these places. Kosice is also a very nice city, has a nice historical core.
